Untitled
Grad Showcase
The 2024 Grad Show titled "Untitled" is a representation of the work, past, present, and future, of the graduates of the Bachelor of Design program at Conestoga College. With a name and an idea, a visual identity was created, branding the Untitled 2024 Grad Show as something that speaks individually to each graduate while representing them collectively. This was created in partnership with Nicki Skelhorn.

Overview
Every year, the graduating class of the Conestoga Bachelor of Design program hosts a Gradshow to showcase their work and accomplishments from their post-secondary career. The 2024 Gradshow name, chosen by the graduating class, was Untitled - representing the beginning of a project and the creative process from which every design originates. Originality, undefined creativity, and freedom to explore outside-the-box designs were the inspiration for the title, leaving this project open-ended - an ode the the daunting design process. Through student portfolio reviews, meaningful symbolism, and an appreciation for vibrancy, the 2024 grad show brand is a reflection of the graduating class.

Cohesive Branding
Individuality
The Logo
Comprised of the deconstructed word 'Untilted', the logo is made to reflect a maze - the exploration process behind designs. Surrounding the maze is an Artboard icon commonly associated with Adobe Illustrator and the process of beginning on a blank canvas where design opportunities are infinite,

Variations

Posters
The abstracted patterns carried throughout all design elements are automatic drawings inspired by the graduates portfolios. These are compiled together to recreate the individual identities of the class while maintaining unity.
Placed into silhouettes to directly represent the class or placed randomly to capture the organized chaos of the design process, each design is coloured with the same 4 colours; slight variations of the iconic RGB associated with graphic design with an addition of yellow to show optimism of what lies ahead.

Social Media
As a primary communication and marketing channel for the Bachelor of Design Grad Show, social media identities were created with sample images to provide visuals for possible post styles and profile appearances.

Personal IDs
For distinction and personalization, IDS were created for each graduate, including lanyards utilizing branding motifs, as well as name tents and business cards, which are fully customizable, allowing each graduate to select the colour and pattern which they feel best represents them.

Website Banner
What would first be seen on the website, the banner is an all encompassing representation of the Gradshow and the students it showcases. Using words that echo the name Untitled to describe the designers accompanied by patterns and colours, this web banner wraps up with all patterns spinning into frame, representing the coming together of grads, professors, and community members.
